Hiya, I'm Rory, and I tell stories about technology.

I spent a decade in Berlin’s Silicon Allee, where I used the Lean playbook to bring startups to market and drive multi-million dollar acquisitions—successes I’ve repeated over time. Everything I've tried to do in marketing has been centered around building positive connections with people, and telling relatable stories.

Splitting my time between Berlin and New York, I worked at a 200-person digital media organization in Hudson Yards, and was a key member of a tiny team in Kreuzberg that built Apple's App Of The Year – two years in a row. Before that, I put in long hours agency side to deliver high-impact marketing campaigns for big tech megacorps including HP, Panasonic and Bloomberg.

More recently, I’ve coordinated globally-distributed marketing and product teams in the AI and IoT space. My specialty is building cross-functional teams that consistently produce AAA-level creative collateral and compelling market strategies with maximum ROI at minimal cost. I'm thrifty, and I like to make things in house.

From within the bonfire of these varied tech-bro experiences, something I value highly has emerged: I believe that respect and care for coworkers are essential. My goal is to build companies free from toxicity—ones where everyone can do their best work, lead balanced lives, and come to work happy, motivated, and fulfilled. It's about making connections with people.
